'nightmare'

Last night, the whole class felt like they were being 'slapped', somehow by our Professor of Turbulence Management. There are 2 Professor that teaches us for that course and last night, it was the-not-so-favorite one turn to teach. He was supposed to evaluate our mid-term assignment briefly and continue to teach the next lesson. But instead, he took the whole 3 hours class only to evaluate our assignment! What he did was ask the best 3 groups and 1 additional group to present their mid-term assignment and then he tell us how is the best report looks like and how does it correlate to a suit? at this point, I was like.. 'What? what does it had to do with Turbulence?' Well then, I just keep it for myself and trying to survive in that class with no interest at all. Until the end of the class, he still says something about our assignment. So then some of us discussed about what is actually his purpose. His assistant told us that some of our assignment is not focus enough. We just explain and answer it briefly, not to the point.

Well, this is the case. The instruction for our assignment is not clear enough. There's no border line for the assignment. When someone asked him, 'what should we write? should we write about this or this?' then he answered, 'you can write anything you like, anything. Use your creativity'. So then we write according to our group interpretation of the question. We analyze all different aspects. Not so detailed, but clear enough that we put all the possible aspects. Frankly, what he wanted is we have to specify and analyze about just one aspects. But he never told us.

I know, we are an MBA student, so he expect us to think in a business oriented, which is focus to analyze just one aspects. But most of us is in their first year, even first semester. Our mindset hasn't build yet. We still need a direction. It's okay if he doesn't want to teach in detail, but at least, he gives it for assignment, so that he can get what he wants.

I was shocked that it bothers me a lot! I didn't experience this kind of things in other classes. It's because they do give a clear instruction of what they want. Well, yes, people are different. But for this one, this is the basic rule in our live. 'If you want something, say it clear', right? Hello, we are not a mind-reader. Do not expect us to know what you want. We all have a different perception, moreover we have a different background and nationality, which makes our perception diverse even larger.

A good lesson in this case are: (1) "Say clearly what you want. Repeat if necessary" (2) "Ask everything that you don't know, in detail".
I hope that there will be no more miscommunication and I hope I can still fix my mistake and get a good grade. Amin :)

First Destination: Taiwan Nougat Museum

When I asked my lil brother, -which place should we go today?- he picked Taiwan Nougat Museum. For those who don't know what that is, it's a small snack made by milk and peanuts, the texture is smooth and kinda sticky and you can chew it till gone :)

So here we go!

It is in Yongning Station, the last MRT station in blue line. So first, we took a MRT until Yongning Station. It took us an hour by MRT to go there. We got there around 3.15 pm. In that booklet, from MRT Yongning we were supposed to "take a bus and took a 5-minute walk". Well, at first I thought it said "take a bus or 5-minute walk" so we decided to walk. The road-name-signs are not clear enough, so we didn't know which way to go - left or right. First we took left, but after 10 minutes walking, and I saw the map, I think it is the wrong way. Then we decided to go back where we started and took right, I'm sure this is the right way. According to the map, when there is a highway, I should find a way to turn right. But when we found that green highway, there is no way for us to turn right! and the situations are all dark and creepy. So we decided to go all the way back to where we started. I know it sounds silly 'cause we go back and forth so many times, but I guess, that's the best choice we can choose rather than get lost - literally - and have my mom to pick us up - which she could probably lost, 'cause she doesn't know that area either.

and guess what? We finally turn left which was the first way we choose! In the map, we are supposed to find a way to turn left. After a 20 minutes walking, we couldn't find a big road that turns left! So we decided to turn left in a small street. It was all these factory noise, then we finally realized that this street is probably a place where all the small factories run their business. The factories that made wood interiors, bed sheet cover, towel, and others - you name it. All the workers were looking at us wondering what are these two-unknown-tourists doing in here. I just wanna get outta there as fast as I could, it's not a comfortable place ever! So we took right and voila there was the big road. Even though we don't know where we were, and those road names weren't in the map, but it was a big relief that I can get out from that noisy-dark-factory street.

We met two branches of road, we don't know which way, so we took a quick break to catch our breath and to think clearly which way we should go. After 5-minutes break, we finally choose the right branch road -there were no names for that road. We are so tired and exhausted, so when we found 7-11, we entered it directly, no hesitation. We both grab our drink and snack and pay it in cashier, and we took a rest there. Since it was summer, so it was sooo nice to just sit and relax in an Air Conditioner room. After we got our energy back, we continued our journey. It was only around 7-10 minutes walked, and voila! We FINALLY found Taiwan Nougat Museum. It was 4.30 pm. Yup! We took an-hour-and-a-15-minutes walking! The place was in the middle of no where! We should've taken the bus! haha!

We kinda dissapointed when we got inside. It was really a museum with no game or activity that we can do. But we were also excited, proud and relief 'cause we finally got there by ourself. Inside the museum you will know how the nougat was made. We were only took photos and have a rest, then we go back home. In total, we were only spent 30 minutes in that museum.

We tried another way to go back, just to find out maybe there is a shorther way. But we still met the same road afterall, the road that has 7-11. And we were entering it again. To take a rest for a while and have some drink and snacks. Then we continued our walking. We went straight, followed the big roads, and passed the noisy-dark-factory-street, I don't wanna go in there twice. We discovered some bus stops for the bus that we should've taken! so we just follow the bus stops, 'cause it leads us to the MRT. After an hour in MRT we finally got home! and we all immediately took a bath!

Oh well, it was a long and exhausted yet fun journey!

I took this picture at night, around 10 pm in the MRT train to Nanggang, Taipei, Taiwan. All these people are reading any kind of things in a row! It's just funny that everybody in a row are reading at the same time, eventho its late already. When you compare night and day, you wouldnt get to see this kinda picture. I think they prefer to read at night..strange? yeaaaa..

With this picture, you could see that everyone is reading anything, anytime, anywhere, effortless. Like every quotes say that to be smart, you have to read. So now I encourage everyone - include me! - to read! anytime you get a chance to read, just read..anything! That will be worth someday, bcause you wouldnt lose anything by reading, instead you gain something!

If you are too lazy to read, start reading your favorite things, like your new magazines or novel. When you get used to read, try to read something related to your education or business you up to. When you wanna kno more about marketing and dont wanna read those thick books that you learn in school, just read marketing magazines or read those story book about marketing which is more interesting.

Last but not least, nowadays there's an advance technology such as eBook, iPad, iPhone which help everyone to read easily. So there wouldnt anymore excuses to not read!

So lets pick some materials - books, magazines, newspaper, novel and others - and start reading! Enjoy! :)

i cried a lot these days! even too much!
there are so many sad things happened.
1. on monday, my very rare questionare which i only got 3 - are missing! dont kno where it went. i've been circling around searching it, even until 3 times..but nothing.

2. on wednesday, my lovely iPod is gone! eventho its not that expansive, but i had it for like 4 years and its been like a part of me. And i just felt so stupid and dissapointed to myself because i cant protect my valuable things.
at the same time, my mom's granma die :(. which caused my granma go to her hometown. and who's left? only me and my lil brother. i dont have anyone to turn to. i got so lovely friends, but for this kinda thing, my parents always have their best way to calm me down. and not even one of them are here.

3. on thursday, my data for thesis are not valid and reliable! this is the second time i tried it. The first one is not valid because the range of the scale, i guess. So i changed it into a 5 likert scale, and guess what? same result! i just cant hold my tears this time. im just so scared that i couldnt find a way out, and become a failure. i do not want it to happen, but i really dont have any clue to solve it. i just hope something or someone that really good could help me to get through all this.

these are all happened in one week. these are too much for me. i could barely handle it. i feel like giving up, somehow..but the good thing is, the other part of me wouldnt let it happen. im clueless. im lost. dont kno where to go. i felt lonely.

oh God, my dear lovely and helpful God, please please help me to find a way out, to get through all this, to finish my thesis and to make my parents proud. Amiin :)
